INTRODUCTION
Safety in the workplace is the most important aspect to be considered. With the government commitment to workplace safety through the provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994 & FMA 1967, all organisation have duty to care for all people to be on safer premises and condition at any time.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • The legal requirement of OSHA 1994, FMA 1967 and all related Acts, Rules and Regulation, the implication and compliance.
  • How to manage safety and health issues inthe workplace.
  • How to develop corporate safety policies, procedures and forming an effective safety committee.
  • How to minimize accidents; thereby increase productivity and maximizing.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Managers, Executives, Supervisors, Safety Committee Members, Safety and Health Representatives, fresh graduates and school leavers who are interested to become Safety and Health Officer (SHO).

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION

English and Bahasa Malaysia

CERTIFICATION

Candidates who achieve the minimum requirement 80% of attendance will be given the Certificate of Attendance issued by Miffa Consultancy & Training Services Sdn Bhd.

EXAMINATION / REGISTERED SHO

The SHO Examination will be held at NIOSH and the fee is RM950.00. Participants who pass the SHO Examination Certificate in Safety and Health Officer by NIOSH with minimum 3 years of related experience in safety & health then the participant can apply to register with DOSH.

EXAM REQUIREMENT

Participants who wish to sit for SHO Examination conducted by National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) must have at least:
  • SPM / MCE / SPMV qualification
OR
  • Pass minimum 6 subjects for SPM year 2000 onwards.

TRAINER


This course will be conducted by qualified and experience traines from Miffa Consultancy & Training Services Sdn Bhd. that are approved by DOSH.

COURSE DURATION

The entire course covers 168 contact hours in 21 days.

Module 1 : 6 Days
Module 2 : 5 Days
Module 3 : 5 Days
Module 4 : 6 Days

A comprehensive time-table will be available upon registration.
